York Wedding Photography for Eve & Keiran’s Micro-Wedding
A small wedding in York
I arrived at The Churchill Hotel in York to capture Eve getting ready with her bridesmaids, Eve was so relaxed, doing her own make-up. Her vintage dress was hanging on the antique wardrobe, her mum arrived with a bouquet she had made herself. Already I was loving the vibes at this wedding!
Once Eve was ready, we did a first look on the stairs with Kieran. It was just lovely! Both of them equally excited to see one another, both full of joy and smiling from ear to ear!
This gorgeous pair then walked with their wedding party to York Registry office, which was just down the road! I enjoy capturing natural photos like this before a ceremony!
Married in front of their nearest and dearest, Eve and Kieran had a small ceremony followed by confetti and group photos in the gardens of the Registry Office.
A vintage bus waited outside for us all and took us to Middlethorpe Lodge, where we had afternoon tea. Egg and cress sandwiches, scones and tea were plentiful and made for incredible candid photos! We then had a stroll round the extensive gardens, where we took beautiful couples portraits and more group shots. It was a very English affair with Bridgerton vibes!
The vintage bus then returned us to York city centre, where I took Eve and Kieran for more couple portraits, walking the beautiful streets of York, capturing them strolling and enjoying their special day. We made our way to the Ivy, dancing en route with a busker and laughing all the way as people congratulated us - my couple relishing the attention!
Once at the Ivy, we celebrated the evening with a cocktail reception, speeches and a cake cutting featuring Eve and Kierans sausage dog! Eve had a dress change and danced the night away with a cocktail in hand and dance moves to match the mood.
This micro wedding filled me with joy, was a pleasure to photograph. I felt like part of the wedding party, had the chance to taste a signature cocktail and chat with everyone as well as photograph them!
Altogether a stunning day. I love York, I adored this couple and I feel proud of the beautiful photos I captured of this for them in this wonderful City.
