A colourful wedding for Jessie & Alex’s at Norwood Park

Surprise 30th birthday and wedding at Norwood Park

I absolutely love a wedding at Norwood Park. It’s a venue I know well and is on my doorstep!

No matter what the weather, Norwood offers an abundance of opportunities for wonderful photographs

Jessie had her 30th birthday coming up, her husband to be Alex invited their close friends and family to celebrate with them at Norwood, as a surprise for Jessie. But… the surprise was on them- Jessie and Alex were getting married!

Jessie got ready in the morning in the beautiful bridal suite at Norwood with her mum (who was in on the surprise)! She had bridal space buns styled by Leah Bailey and flawless make-up by Rachel Lewan. We invited Jessie’s best friends to join her upstairs, when they entered the room, they were greeted with Jessie in a stunning bridal gown by Jesus Peiro, purchased from Frances Day Bridal and handed colourful bouquets- they were bridesmaids!

Next as Jessie quietly approached the stair case, guests were waiting below, facing towards the doors for Jessie to arrive and surprise. As they turned, WE shouted surprise and they saw Jessie in all of her glory! Adorning party hats and very astonished gazes, the guests were overwhelmed with excitement at the celebrations that were to follow!

Guests were then whisked away to Halloughton church on a red London bus, the couples daughter Vinnie thoroughly enjoyed the trip in her party dress!

After a beautiful service, Jessie and Alex ate cake and had refreshments in the pews! After a colourful confetti exit, they left church in style in a vintage convertible. I had such a fun time photographing this gorgeous pair, it felt like something out of a magazine!

Arriving back at Norwood, the Gallery was absolutely stunningly styled with the most colourful florals by The Flower Fairy. Lucinda used a pallet of pink and peach for a very romantic feel to this unique wedding. I took the opportunity to capture some more portraits and encapsulate the ambience of this beautiful room.

As we headed into the early evening, I felt so grateful to enjoy some more time with Jessie and Alex, having some fun in the extensive grounds at Norwood. Jessie was in her element running and swaying her wedding gown! These guys were a vibe!

More evening guests arrived to dance the night away and celebrate this wonderful couple and of course, Jessie’s 30th birthday!
